Daily Deviation

Given 2010-07-20
It is truly incredible, how even equipped with a pioneering vision and such phenomenal skills, *dehydrated1's work still remains much under the radar. One of their most recent galley additions, Owl, incontrovertibly illustrates the artist's forte and, by contrast, their agonisingly subdued exposure. This work is nothing short of pure brilliance, incorporating exceptional line work with prominent stylisation to bring to life a concept that's truly electrifying. Enjoy! just sit and stare at it for a while. That chest structure

I love the expression in this piece. the composition allows the eye to flow so smoothly and soothingly in all directions. The patterns don't take away from teh general image and the colors compliment each other. I love the lines they are strong and self-containing. I'm happy for you DD.

Wow, very beautiful and complex. Wonderful choice balancing the green with the red.

Do you ink before or after you paint?

Thanks for the comment.
I usually ink after I apply the watercolor. Afterwards I just go back and forth until certain areas look right.

wow, this is really amazing. I love how you strayed away from reality and aded depth to the image. I find that sometimes, Artists tend to overcomplicate their work, adding too many colors, lines, and insignificant details to their pieces. However; you neatly avoided this problem and the colour usage is spot on. Your lines neatly carry the eyes to every point of the picture and it is not so complex to leave any detail unappreciated. Congrats on your Daily Deviation!

This is just amazing! The colors, the oddly entrancing style, the overall feeling is intricately unsettling and complete at the same time-freedom and form wrapped all into one package. Love it! Congrats on the well-deserved DD!

Congrats on the Daily Deviation and I have to agree with the comment about how it is so hard to believe that someone with your skill is still under the radar. Your work is incredible and I look forward to you getting the attention (and hopefully jobs) that you deserve. I am so honored to be a part of your life and to share in your achievements. I love you and again CONGRATS!

I love how you blend the shapes and details so that you can't really quite decipher what is organic and what is say, metal and wire. This has a darkness to it that is quite aluring.
